Rachel Z, piano

The virtuoso pianist Rachel Z has been called “a romanticist who can play with both power and finesse” by Downbeat magazine. Classically trained, Rachel Z has performed and recorded with both Peter Gabriel and Wayne Shorter. She has released several CDs of her own, including Everlasting, Moon at the Window, Love is the Power, Room of One’s Own, and Trust the Universe.

Elizabeth Barrett Browning (1806-1861) is best known for her Sonnets From the Portuguese, one of the most famous collections of love lyrics in English and considered by some to be the finest love sonnets since Shakespeare. Many of her other poems express intense sympathy for the struggle against unjust social and political conditions.
