Walter Blanding, Jr.Walter Blanding Jr. grew up playing saxophone in Cleveland and New York. He attended LaGuardia High School for Music and Art and the New School for Social Research. His albums, including Tough Young Tenors and The Olive Tree, have been highly acclaimed, and he has recorded with Cab Calloway, The Wynton Marsalis Septet, Illinois Jacquet and many others. He is also a member of the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra.
